China Guardian Hong Kong's "Objects of Desire: Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art" achieved outstanding results, upswinging the momentum for its Contemporary Art Auction in August.
Despite the already widely spread Covid 19 pandemic which have sent a 'pause' signal to many part of the world, the art scene is thriving much more than before internationally with numerous auctions taking place worldwide, online, on the phone and on the floor combined. In July, China Guardian Hong Kong quenched the thirst for Ming, Qing dynasty porcelain and archaic jades of many collectors and connoisseurs with its "Objects of Desire: Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art" in its Hong Kong auction room. Featuring arts and artefacts dating back from Ming and Qing dynasty, the competition in the auction was intense for bidding the antiques and collectibles. With A Famille Rose ‘Gold Fish’ Jardinière realised HK$554,000 (buyer premium), and A Russet Jade Disc, received the most interest in the auction, was sold for HK$708,000 inclusive of premium, this auction was a notable upswing that has marked the swift, extension of the momentum for many upcoming art events and auctions around the globe.
