A key figure of the post-war artistic era, Hsiao Chin is considered an instrumental artist who was active in both Eastern and Western art circles over the course of half of a century.  He founded Dongfang Group in 1950 in Taiwan before moving abroad and organized in Milan, Italy the International Punto Movement, a revolutionary movement of modern art building on Oriental philosophy and spirit.

La danza di luce 16 showcased on nine occasions in Punto exhibitions throughout Europe, the rare work interprets modern abstraction from an Eastern perspective.

在全球的戰後藝術浪潮中, 蕭勤乃縱橫東西畫壇半世紀的樞紐式人物, 其於1950年在台灣發起前衛藝術團體「東方畫會」;  赴歐留學以後,更於1961年在意大利米蘭籌劃「龐圖( Punto )國際運動」, 以東方精神作為核心, 掀起一場國際性的現代 藝術革命。 <<光之躍動 16>> 是蕭勤首次亮相於國際拍賣行晚拍之作, 曾經九次參展於歐洲各國的「龐圖」大展, 以東方宇宙觀念演繹現 代抽象, 乃不可多得的稀有傑作。

Long Chin-San was an influential figure in Chinese photography, globally renowned as a master of the modern art form.  Long Chin-San's style ranged from documentary to human subjects,  nudes, composite pictures, and photograms across his 90-year-long career.

This historically significant Cross-Island Highway was given in 1962 as a gift from Long to former president Mr. Chiang Ching-kuo, who was at the time overseeing the construction of Taiwan's Central Cross-Island Railway.

《東西橫貫路》是郎靜山台灣時期非常重要的一幅作品。題款中的「壬寅」即1962年。 1960年, 台灣中部的橫貫公路通車,成為首條串聯東部與西部的公路系統,此重要工程當年動用了一萬多位退伍國軍, 耗時三年九個月, 而主事

者乃時任行政院國軍退除役官兵就業輔導委員會主任委員的蔣經國先生。1962年, 郎靜山以中國攝影協會理事長身份, 獲邀參觀並拍攝橫貫公路, 郎氏正好 發揮「集錦」技法, 將橫貫公路190公里的美景精華盡收此幅。

Owned by leading Chinese painter, teacher and collector Wu Hufan, the Mei Jing Studio Collection is home to books, paintings, calligraphy and stone rubbings of historical value. Wu was respected within the Shanghai art community, especially for his exquisite eye for art and his masterful brush technique. 

Peers with deep request for each other, Zhang Daqian and Wu Hufan often dedicated paintings to one another, including personal and poetic inscriptions. Zhang created this piece in 1963 while he was in Brazil, and dedicated it to Wu on his 70th birthday. In celebration of that milestone birthday, Zhang used a paper measuring more than 140 centimeters and employed his most proficient freehand technique to portray a lush lotus pond filled with the gently swaying plants. Bold, gestural brushstrokes cast generously in ink create a vivid, watery effect in this magnificent work.

「梅景書屋」收藏歷代書畫金石碑帖名聞遐邇, 主人吳湖帆承襲家學, 以眼光精絶及筆底造化高妙, 享譽滬上藝壇。

大千甚為推重吳湖帆畫藝, 兩人每得歷代名人劇迹, 多招邀觀摩共賞, 品評切磋, 探討研究, 故在「大風堂」及「梅景書屋」藏品中, 不乏對方題跋, 甚或互贈珍藏, 傳為佳話。 大千移家南美後, 故國親朋藝友, 音訊未得相通, 偶有消息, 多請托友輩居中轉達, 寄贈作品, 亦循此途徑。本幅寫於一九六三年, 遙寄自巴西八德園, 誌賀湖帆七十整壽。 大千值賀湖帆古稀之壽, 取幾近五尺整紙, 以擅長之大寫意法, 寫雨過池塘, 白荷迎風招展, 巨葉掩映飄揚, 伴以含苞者挺拔而立, 全畫筆勢豪放, 大開大闔, 墨彩淋漓, 氤氲滿紙, 水氣盈溢, 生動自然, 且見雄渾之勢, 呈諸藝友。

A gift dedicated to a close friend of the artist, Lush Mountains in Misty Gleam was created in 1967 when Zhang Daqian reached the pinnacle of his splashed-ink-and-colour style. Executed on a large gold paper measuring nearly 130 centimetres, it combines aspects of an abstract approach with traditional ink painting techniques to depict a verdant, steep mountainside. With ink as his starring muse, Zhang masterfully splashes bold hues onto the paper, flowing freely with only a touch of guidance from the brush, then adding a thick layer of mineral pigment such as malachite green to create a crystal-like surface. Glossy and bright like a gem, the vibrant, organic landscape on gleaming paper depicts a magnificent and breath-taking scene.

本幅寫於一九六七年, 正值大千潑墨潑彩創作大盛時期, 故選取四尺整幅金箋為材, 取抽象手法, 略施傳統筆墨點景, 狀高山聳翠, 白練飛瀉之景, 傑閣則構於峰巔處, 巍峨矗立, 呈高山仰止之意。畫面以濃墨為主調, 潑灑於上, 墨色隨意傾流, 復用筆稍作牽引, 畫景隨之而生, 上蓋石青石綠, 礦物顏料厚重, 形成晶瑩塊面, 亮如寶石, 光彩燦然, 與金箋相襯, 益顯堂煌瑰麗, 氣象萬千。
